Our client is one of the leaders in the banking / financial industry; they are currently in the lookout for an exceptional individual to join their team as a Business Analyst. Business Analyst (ES08/15702)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for the full scope of requirements gathering and elicitation. Management of scope-creeps for assigned projects
  • Developing the business model together with the project leadership
  • Analysis and documentation of the requirements, processes and reaching domain knowledge.Be the subject matter expert (SME) for assigned projects
  • Clearly document and communicate all information relating to work handled to all relevant parties in order to ensure knowledge transfer among all stakeholders of the project
  • Assist the software engineer, in gathering requirements when assigned
  • Work with the project team to ensure that requirements are fully covered in UAT Test Cases
  • Ensure seamless coordination from the time of project initiation to the transition stage
  • Good communication and relationship with all stakeholders (i.e. CBSL, Banks, Vendors, LCPL Staff, etc)
  • Recommend to DGM - IT & Ops. through SM-PS, on new processes and improvements relating to requirement management and business models by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending suitable action
  • Recommend to HOHR through SM-PS and through DGM - IT & Ops., HR related improvements, for projects assigned
  • Ensure knowledge transfer of project to avoid single point of failure, by ensuring proper documentation
  • Other duties assigned by the management

Candidate Profile:

  • Should possess an IT related degree or a Business Administration degree with strong IT knowledge together with around 2 to 3 years of industry experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in requirement gathering is mandatory
  • Be well versed with Requirements Gathering and Management and the BABOK
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences of various levels of the organization or that of clients
  • Have excellent problem-solving, team building, and time management skills
  • Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision

Salary Range: LKR70,000 - LKR90,000 (Based on Experience and Capabilities)
