Customer Service Executive

Lanka Shipping and Logistics (Pvt) Ltd seeks a self-motivated individual, as a Customer Service Executive to work within its Freight Forwarding Team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Attending to Customer inquiries and information requests in a prompt manner
  • Handling orders, follow-up for import / export shipments
  • Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents and other related parties regarding pre and post shipment formalities including securing the required booking as per customer requirements
  • Assist the Sales Division in preparing quotations and rate schedules based on customer inquiries
  • Maintain the Service Standards by providing weekly / monthly reports to customers & agents
  • Follow up on network sales leads and take immediate action

You should:

  • Be G.C.E. A/L qualified
  • Be Computer Literate
  • Ideally be between 23-25 years of age
  • Have 2-3 years of experience of working in a logistics and freight forwarding environment with exposure to both air and sea freight and with in-depth knowledge of the local market
  • Have a thorough knowledge in Air & Sea Freight documentation and information requirements for different geological locations and commodity types
  • Be fluent in English, have good communication and negotiation skills
  • be a team player who has a strong personality
  • Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
