Field Sales Executive

DHL Global Forwarding Sri Lanka is looking for an energetic, passionate Field Sales Executive to help us grow the locally controlled portion of our Sri Lankan business.

Some background knowledge in General Freight Forwarding, Ocean Freight, Airfreight, Customs, Supply Chain, Warehousing and Distribution is preferred... but not essential.

The most important characteristics are the ability to:

  • Prove your sales impact and show your passion for selling
  • Stand out in the crowd
  • Talk and present with confidence
  • Comfortably talk to senior management, both internally and externally
  • Utilise local business contacts / network to help grow our customer base
  • Communication skills

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Build new customer base aligned with company strategies focus areas and additional market analysis
  • Grow share of wallet of assigned customer base through value added selling and relationship building
  • Maintain customer in relevant sales opportunity management system
  • Manage customer visits, rolling opportunities and win rates against target
  • Guide products on market feedback with regard to servicing and pricing
  • Help to design and implement innovative sales approaches

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience Logistics experience preferred
  • Relevant educational qualifications would be advantageous
