Manager Database Administration

Experience & Qualification:

  • 7 years' experience in IT with exposure to managing Oracle and MS SQL database in Unix, Linux and Microsoft environments
  • Out of the total experience 3 years should be at Managerial / Executive Level
  • An IT related Degree / Diploma from a recognised institution

Special Skills:

  • The applicants should have exceptional people management, project management and leadership skills

Job Profile:

  • Providing primary Database Administration support for database environments running on Oracle, MS SQL and DB2. Acting as liaison between developers, service desk, application administrators and DBMS vendor to report and resolve any database related problems
  • Provide expert assistance in tuning SQL and PL / SQL statements to improve application performance
  • Installing, upgrading and maintaining RDBMS software products / versions, server software and various software tools as appropriate
  • Following and adhere to Information Security Management Systems standards (BSS and ISO/IEC 27001:2013)
  • Coordinating with Systems Administrators for OS patches updates and maintain required security levels on all database servers
