The Company is an accredit training provider by CIMA, Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL), ACCA and CMA.

Assist Manager - Finance

We seek a young dynamic individual who is well experienced in General Ledger related processes with three to four years of total experience out of which at least one year in a commercial organisational.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of transactions processed by the team
  • Supervising processing month end financial statements, quarter end and year end financial reporting
  • Examining in detail, the monthly General Ledger reconciliations including bank reconciliations carried out by the team
  • Reviewing VAT, NBT and Stamp Duty computations
  • Following accounting standards and comforting to the guidelines on information security
  • Checking and verifying details and to focus on continuous improvement of accuracy and efficiency
  • Planning and organising work methodically according to the priorities and deadlines
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Meeting deadlines even when it requires working for long hours and holidays
  • Supervising, coaching and training staff on adherence to the accounting and reporting standards
  • Facilitating information requirements on internal and external audit
  • Implementing & maintaining sound internal control procedures

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA / ACMA or ACCA with a six month to one year post qualifying experience
  • Previous experience in F&A BPO Shared Services Operations will be preferred
  • Candidate with a preference to build a career in BPO/SSO operations
  • A strong team leader who has a positive attitude and ability to motivate, coach and guide a team of staff
  • Able to work under minimum supervision
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Wishes to grow with the Company which provides opportunities for performance based career growth
  • Possessing competencies in client relations, conflict management and negotiation skills
  • A very good command of the English language
