Accounts Executive - Financial Reporting

Location: Operations Centre - Nawala

Your Responsibilities Include:

• To finalise monthly financials, review the posting of entries into the General Ledger and ensure that the income statements / balance sheets are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure that the balance sheet accounts are reconciled and cleared on a monthly basis.
• Manage the year-end auditing process for the allocated legal entities whilst meeting regulatory / statutory requirements, in order to ensure timely and effective completion of the process.
• Conduct physical asset verification in line with Group Accounting Policy in order to ensure the availability and accurate accounting of available assets. Also carryout quarterly sewing machine physical verification and reconciliations on quarterly basis for the allocated plants.
• Visit plants on regular basis, monitor adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures and conduct unannounced audits on regular basis to ensure the adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualification & Experience:

• Full or part qualification in ICASL / CIMA / ACCA / Degree from a recognised university in Accounting / Finance.
• 1-2 years' experience in similar role
• Sound communication and analytical skills
• Experience in SAP and experience in apparel industry would be advantageous
