Chief Accountant

Location: Operational Head Office - Homagama

Job Role:

• Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax and other statutory authorities
• Timely submission of monthly accounts, cash flows, budgets and other management reports
• Compliance to the requirements of the Inland Revenue with respect to taxation
• Coordination with banks in obtaining banking facilities
• Supervision of activities of some of subsidiary companies as assigned by the management
• Overall supervision and provision of guidance to the subordinates at the finance division
• Carrying out of effective resource planning and work allocation
• Maintaining effective coordination with the branches and their activities
• Highly accountable and proactive in meeting deadlines
• Provision of information and recommendations to the management to make effective decisions

Minimum Qualification:

• A degree in Finance / Accounting and a member of CA Sri Lanka
• Excellent analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in similar capacity and minimum of 2 years' experience in an audit firm
• Experience in ERP would be a definite advantage
• Excellent knowledge in English with good telephone etiquette and computer literacy are vital
• Age below 35
• Preference will be given to those who reside around Malabe, Athurugiriya, Homagama and surrounding areas
