Senior Assistant - Financial Reporting

Job Profile:

• Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial statement as per the SLFRS/LKAS and for the purpose of CBSL submission, publication.
• Preparation and monitoring of allocated reconciliations on a daily basis / monthly basis.
• Assist to GL maintenance function of the bank and assist other departments / branches with regard to GL related inquiries and advices.
• Assist in statutory adult and preparation of Annual report of the bank.
• Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders regarding financial  reporting / calculation matters Monitoring Transactions in difficulties (TIDs) queued at Finance, allocated for clearance and assess the monthly provision for TIDs, prepare monthly report to the Board Sub committee.
• Actively involve in system implementation, upgrade related UATs applicable to the Department and any other activities relating to internal control of the bank.

Special Skills:

• Good understanding of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards and CBSL guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office packages, especially MS Excel.
• Good working knowledge ERPSs (Oracle).
• Ability to multitask.

Experience & Qualification:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Banking / Finance / Auditing.
• A full / part professional or Academic qualification in Finance / Accounting.
